Who Is Ed Frankl?

I’m a reporter, sub-editor and critic based in London. My main role is as sub-editor and community moderator at the Guardian, where I work across different sections of the paper. I’m always on the lookout for freelance commissions.

Most recently, I wrote on film for Little White Lies and The Film Stage from the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, was a freelance sub-editor at Virgin Media Presents and was assistant editor of The Times Guide to the House of Commons 2015. My cuttings have featured in an eclectic range of publications, including:

I graduated from the Journalism MA at City University London, where I specialised in political journalism under former New Statesman political editor Martin Bright, and wrote my final research project investigating the growth of academies and free schools. As an undergraduate at Bristol University – where I studied English – I founded and edited the university’s premier online magazine, Inter:Mission.
